Run Down of the week… 30 days to go.

I updated the blog a little… added a countdown to the right and the registry info on the slide-bar to the left (so people don’t have to search for it).  I also added a subscribe button to the right so if you want to be automatically updated by e-mail you can be.  Just a few basic updates… still don’t know the gender and we still haven’t picked out names. 🙂 guess you’ll have to be surprised too!

Well it’s been a busy week… we’ve both been pretty exhausted. This weekend was a little weird and for the most part we just wanted to stay home.  Friday night when Jay got off work he went and got me some popsicles because I was having issues holding down food and fluids again. And this is what he got 🙂 I find the Blue Bell ones much tastier than the Jolly Rancher ones. I was surprised that the jolly rancher ones weren’t quite as tasty as the other two kinds.

Saturday we ran some errands and then went to church. We decided to return our other car seat because of its size. But we got another one that will fit our stroller. We compromised and found one we could both agree on. It’s neutral enough and it was 1/3 of the price of the other one. At least the big stuff is out of the way. Now  it’s just the small stuff we have to check off the list. Time to pack the bag, etc.

Sunday we did some house cleaning and watched a movie. It was nice to be able to relax. Monday is when things got busy! We had a bunch more errands to run, doctors appointment (ew) and then 🙂 we went to a hockey game. The errands weren’t bad. The doctors appointment kind of stunk. I don’t really like that doctor at this point but I don’t really see the point in changing doctors with a month to go. But I really want to especially after this visit. I asked to decline the cervical check until later and I think (but am not sure) that he did it anyway…even though I asked for him NOT to.  My strep B test had to be done… but everyone tells me the Strep B test doesn’t hurt. Well whatever he did was very invasive and it HURT. I’m pretty sure he did a cervical exam… but this would have been my first one so I’m not sure. All I know is it hurt and I hurt for the remainder of the evening. I’m a little miffed. It’s frustrating to say the least. He’s not really a good listener. He kinda pushes us to find out the gender and when I ask questions and he doesn’t really answer them. Like “What’s the reason behind that medical procedure?”  Hmm. Maybe you’re not supposed to ask questions. Regardless I’m going to keep asking questions. I am surprised that he hasn’t brought up anything about the hospital or things I should be preparing for, etc. But who knows what the normal procedures are. I find it odd that he doesn’t really tell me details on anything… weight I’ve gained, babies growth, updates on results, etc. Seems weird that he just says “yep everything is normal.” I guess I will just wait for next week. Now I have my lovely weekly appointments. Ugh. Not so exciting.

At least after the doctors appointment we got to head down to the arena to watch our first live Coyotes game. It was weird to see more Canadian fans than Coyote fans. There were so many blue jerseys… and though there were some red jerseys too… we were vastly outnumbered. We found free parking (added bonus) and then headed in. We had some yummy Tim Hortons coffee and coco and then went to our seats. It was our first time to jobing arena and the set up is pretty nice. I don’t think there is a horrible seat in the house… even the nosebleed seats had good views of the ice. We lost the game but it was still a fun experience.

Today Jay was back to work and another busy week has begun. Exactly 30 days until D-Day now. Dun Dun Duh.

It does seem odd that your doctor is not forthcoming with information. You could try asking his Nurse, or speaking to him directly about your feelings. He can’t really fix the problem if he doesn’t know it’s an issue. Not to mention that you’re paying him for a service that is very important! Anywho, SO glad to see you’re doing well! <3

We’ve talked to him but he doesn’t seem to listen. We’re switching doctors after this!

Less than a month to go, unless baby wants to be funny like her cousin Carrie and be almost two weeks overdue!! 😀

My doctor wont let it go more than a week over. He said there is too much risk for stillbirth.
