On the 11th we went to see the memorial.

We figured we could start teaching a little history. She won’t understand it yet but we want her to get in the habit of learning about history now. She looked like she was trying to read. It was interesting seeing her take in something new. She was mostly well behaved. For a one year old she did really well.

I can’t believe how big she is getting!

We had her 18 month check up! The lead levels are finally going down! She is just under 32 in tall. She weighs about 22 pounds! She is really petite but the doctor said she is really healthy.

She is taking in everything! She loves learning!

Just documenting the rest of this on here since I kind of stink at the whole baby book thing!

Just tested the little one on her words. She’s getting really cleaver.

These are the ones we currently have documented. We are also working on counting and learning our colors! So far we can count to 3 (I’m not sure if that’s a good thing).

We aren’t pushing her to learn things. We are just allowing her to play and learn through playing. She doesn’t have any forced learning time. We just play… Because heaven knows you can’t force a toddler to do anything! They have minds of their own. They can be guided but not forced! She enjoys her learning games. And once she starts reading books…. We are going to start allowing her to watch some cartoons. I think Sesame Street and Reading Rainbow are first on her list. We are waiting a little later for Disney movies and such.

Right now she can watch:

  • Your baby can read
  • Signing time
  • Your child can read
  • Live sports (hockey is her favorite)
  • Nature shows (we love pbs)

Her favorite animal is still a duck but I think a coyote is a close second. She also loves goats and horses and dogs.

She loves sugar peas and green veggies … And chocolate chips :/

Right now she thinks granola bars are cookies… I’d like to keep it that way!

She still has a shoe obsession haha ;Christmas ideas 😉 she’s also really into the Abc song and babies.

Her favorite color appears to be yellow these days… Or sparkles haha.

Her eyes are hazel!

I think she might be an expert climber… Time to start rock climbing classes 😉

She loves having her nails painted (any color and every color).

Did I mention she got a cat?

She loves her cat… But her cat is still getting used to her!
