I’ve Lost My Memory
For the last few weeks I literally cannot remember anything. People ask me how many weeks pregnant I am and I have to guess or look it up. This kid has sucked the life out of my cerebral cortex. I recently bought a new planner (Because I couldn’t remember to bullet journal-which is like the simplest thing in the world)… and it helps a little. I just have to remember to write things down right away. If I don’t I WILL forget whatever it is that I’m supposed to remember! It’s kinda funny!
I also apparently have an attention span issue lately. I’ll be doing something and forget what I’m supposed to be doing and move on to something else… only to remember what I was supposed to be doing and then go back to that. I’ll be happy when this little one is born and I can think again.
I got a notification that I’m 25 weeks today! We still haven’t decided on a date or a name! We “get” to pic between May 18th and May 24th. Picking somehow seems more stressful than the surprise of going into labor. But this is the safest option so soon we will pick a date and write it down (So I don’t forget haha). As for the name I don’t see that being decided anytime soon. Nothing has popped out at me or Jason… so at this point it’s the waiting game. It’s difficult to find boy names that aren’t super popular or weird.
My Stomach has gotten so big! I know I still have another 3ish months left to grow but I’m already finding it difficult to get comfortable.. in chairs or in bed. I can’t imagine what it will be like in another 3 months! Time is going by so fast and so slow! I’m waiting for the registry discounts to buy the big stuff.. they don’t become available until Mid-March. The best thing about registering is the discounts that come with the registry! I’ll be excited when I start feeling a little more prepared next month. The nesting with this one makes feel a little crazy. I feel like I can’t plan enough.
Arabella seems to be okay with having a brother instead of a sister. She is excited and likes talking to my belly. She also carries around her boy doll a lot more than the others now. She likes feeding and rocking her little baby “Fitz”. However, the threes seem to also be upon us as the drama has started and everything is a bigger issue than it should be. If her sticker falls off of her shirt then it is the end of the world. The good news… she’s reading like crazy. She knows so many words and phrases. She can go on and on when telling stories (Some of them are super weird). She describes things really well and is an awesome communicator when she wants to be. She can now count well past 20 and knows her shapes and colors. She recognizes family and friends and always wants to “Facetime” someone. She randomly picks up new knowledge from who knows where… seriously she is learning like crazy. Her little sponge brain is working overtime.
