Life is happening… part 1
well this will hold as the temporary website for all of the updates until we find a more permanent website. I miss my old layout! Lol!
4th of July was a little bittersweet, more bitter than sweet really. The Day before we had to take Jake in to get him cremated and the thought of him no longer being with us saddened us for the entire weekend and then some.
We spent Fourth of July swimming in the morning and searching for the perfect quiet beach for the evenings fireworks. We found a spot a little south of Dana point and laid out a blanket and watch the fireworks over the vast Pacific end. It was beautiful. We met a family who was visiting from Colorado and were able to focus on family for the day. We built a big sand castle around our blanket and then Arabella played Godzilla and smashed half of it. She loved the feeling of the sand. She giggled and laughed. Her laugh is contagious!
On the 5th we decided another distraction was needed and decided that the LA zoo would be a good fit. So we put on her sunscreen, got out the stroller, and headed to see the animals. Arabella thought it was fun to see all of the funny animals. She also found the water fountain fascinating.

The next day we headed down to Seal Beach to donate some of Jakes things to a shelter. It was sad but we looked around the place and it gave us a little solace. We ended up staying an extra day so Arabella got to wear her Fourth of July dress a second time. And we decided since we are right by the beach with stop for a couple minutes and just enjoy the view.
Then we headed back to Phoenix. We stopped a little under halfway and Cobazon for dinner.
