Visiting With New People
Well it’s been about a month since I have posted anything. Now that the little one is 110% mobile it’s almost impossible to get on the computer for more than 10 minutes at a time. She’s always into something. She is standing up like a pro and climbing onto everything! Life is dangerous! I think mommy gets scared way more than baby. We’re not just sitting up anymore! Were are INTO EVERYTHING!
Life isn’t what you would call boring. I’m always on the move… it’s usually in my own living-room but there isn’t much time to do “nothing” these days… we are always doing something. Laundry, dishes, pick up the toys a few times, help Arabella with her movie, reading time, play time, more meal times than I ever thought were possible, bath time, etc. Life is always busy.
She has two humongous teeth. And loves to chew on everything in site. Shoes, toys, tags, random other things. I never imagined how much stuff we’d have to hide. Right now she is chewing on Dumbo… finally something I don’t have to hide 🙂
It’s amazing how much they grow and how fast it seems to happen. Just the other day I was looking at her rocking in her baby swing. She was so tiny. Now she can’t even fit in it. Month 6 seems to have passed by especially quickly. On Saturday 7 months will be here. She’s already trying to walk alongside the couch. It’s INSANE!!! By baby is slowly morphing into a toddler… though it doesn’t feel slow at all.
She has such personality now and doesn’t seem to hate car rides nearly as much as she did when she was a tiny little baby. Now she sleeps through most of it. However, when she is awake she doesn’t like to sit alone. She prefers company. Maybe it’s time to get a big stuffed bear to ride back there with her! She still has quite a while before we are planning on turning her around. We want to wait until after she is 2.
It’s been a busy month. Jay’s parents came to visit. And there was a big haboob. We had a lot of fun though. Arabella got to spend a little time with Gammy and Gampy. We danced in the rain a little and enjoyed the sights.
Arabella and Daddy even spent a few minutes in the rain. She loved it and giggled when it touched her head. She even kept reaching her feet out to touch it. She’s such a silly little girl!
We traded for a pink walker. She’s only learned how to go backwards in it. She gets a little mad at me when she hits a wall and can’t move in it anymore. She likes to “tell me how it is”. Such personality in this one!
She’s our silly girl. She really likes to be out of the house and exploring a lot. She’s a social butterfly.
This past week my parents flew into Phoenix. They met Arabella for the first time. They are the first to have met her in my family. They couldn’t believe how big she was either. Our first stop was Sedona. Where she got to ride on some Javelina (the pig looking things above).
Of course mommy made her take a few silly photos! She seemed to enjoy herself a little bit! We tried to show my parents the sites.
It was a perfectly stormy day in Sedona. We even got a little rain!
We continued north until we hit Flagstaff and had to take a photo by the sign.
Our last visit of the day before we headed to the hotel was the Grand Canyon. Kinda crazy because our girl was pooped out. She was asleep half of the time we were there.
The next day we woke up and headed for the 4 corners.
Daddy has most of the good photos on his phone of her from that stop! The bottom one is his. You could say we visited Utah for the first time as a family that day 🙂 And she even sat in 4 places at once! We did a lot of stopping 🙂 So she was able to get out of her car seat and explore.
Next stop was Treasure Falls in Colorado. As you can see she was a big fan!
We stopped in Durango, CO for a quick leg stretch and milk stop. It was a pretty little town. Then we traveled on to Alamosa. Where she would meet her grandmother.
This is a rare site. I don’t even think I have a photo of me and my parents when I was a baby.
On our way back to Phoenix we stopped at the Painted Desert and the Petrified forest.
The last day we showed them around Fountain Hills and let Arabella play in the splash park.
Can you tell that she enjoyed herself!?!
Now Life is back to normal…
She’s our little criminal 😉
and our little explorer who loves music and singing
I suppose that’s the update for now. Hopefully next month I will keep up on things a little better.
But I can’t promise anything since I know she’ll be walking soon enough.
Great pictures of your time traveling with Arabella! Glad you all had a good visit and travels were safe!

Wow that’s awesome you were able to get a picture of your parents together with your child! I don’t have any pictures of my parents together with any of my children. Arabella is a beautiful little girl and she seems super well cared for. Proud of you little lady <3
