Christmas 2013

Christmas Eve we spent at North Park Community church. It was a nice candle light service but we had a lot to do to prepare for Christmas. Well Christmas was here. It came and went sooo quickly. Seriously I think this is the fastest Christmas I have ever experienced.  Jake scored some catnip, a collar, and some treats. He also thinks he scored a new bed under the Christmas tree. I think he’ll be disappointed. Soon it will be time to take down the decorations. We ate sweets, had dinner out, went to see the lights at Glendale Glitters. We drank warm peppermint mocha’s and watched the horses click and clack. It was a good Christmas but it went by so fast.

The days leading up to Christmas we spent cleaning out our spare room and getting ready for the nursery. We even finally got our livingroom set up with photos finally. It was such a crazy busy week but we finally can see our progress start to mean something. The nursery has taken a brief shift from just dumbo to dumbo plus nautical. We’re going to tie it together eventually we’re just not there yet.  But it’s a start! Monday I had my 3 hr glucose test. It was nasty and made me feel like I was going to barf on the floor but I made it through. Yesterday the doctor called and said I passed and my levels were normal. Thank heavens for that. I hate needles.  Now we just have 8 weeks left to prepare for everything else. At least we have a start though! It’s hard being away from family as we plan and celebrate but at least we can share our updates in one way or another! We wont be SHARING ANYTHING ON FACEBOOK. I have given you the link to this blog in hopes that you wont either.
