Well here we go… Friday I’ll be 30 weeks. Tying my shoes feels like an Olympic sport. Let’s not even mention trying to sleep at night. Just rolling over is a chore. It’s been an interesting adventure. Third trimester is a lot like my first trimester. Honestly it’s been kind of miserable. I’m throwing up again, nausea, food aversion, weight gain, acid re-flux, my joints hurt like crazy, back pain, hip pain, tailbone pain, and stupid ligament pain aka raptor claw. It’s interesting how some people find this process enjoyable. Needless to say I’m not one of those people who love being pregnant. But I keep telling myself it’s going to be worth it as long as this little one is healthy.
Luckily I have Jay who is very sweet and understands when I am whiny. He buys me slushies and fruit and surprises me with french fries late at night after he gets home from work. He works all day and then comes home and helps around the house on the days I feel absolutely miserable. He doesn’t complain when I need to take a break and just sit down after we’ve been walking around for a while and he helps me find bathrooms when we are out and about. I am one lucky lady. I have such a sweet husband.
For those wondering and asking… no we haven’t found out the gender. No we don’t have names picked out yet. And yes we’ve registered just about everywhere. We don’t plan on having a shower because we just can’t afford to travel right now. With the holidays and schedule conflicts… it just doesn’t seem like it will be happening. BUT maybe next year sometime we will be able to travel and have a meet and greet party.
Well Christmas is coming! We’ve been busy preparing and decorating. Jay will be working Christmas day but he gets new years eve off. We’ll celebrate when we can. We’re not really doing gifts this year because we have SOOOOOOO much baby stuff to buy. We’ve barely started but we’ve got a little time so I’m not too worried. I’m super excited about Christmas this year and I love that our little condo is coming to life with Christmas in every nook and cranny. We are excited just to celebrate in the ways we can.
Jake is enjoying himself lately. He has adjusted and now believes he owns the place. He’s become quite the snuggle bug. He even cries if he isn’t covered up and it’s a little chilly. He still enjoys hogging blankets, sitting on the tree skirt, and begging for food hours before it is his dinner time. He’s still a happy little cat.
