Let’s Talk about TV Shows! (MY TV SHOWS)

Let’s talk about Shows today… oh how I have so many that I love an adore. Here are a list of the non-reality tv related ones. Yes we really do watch them all… or we did at one point. These are the shows I recommend trying out… the list is diverse!

Have you ever seen Game of thrones?  If not you really should try it. It’s full of adventure, action, and thrill. It’s on HBO and that requires an extra subscription if you have cable which is unfortunate  But it is worth it. It is not in any way appropriate for children. And has a lot of artistic nudity, violence, etc. It’s made as well as a movie and the characters are fantastically developed!

Grey’s Anatomy is another one of our favorites. It’s packed with lovable characters. It takes place in Seattle,Wa in Seattle Grace-Mercy West hospital. No it’s not a real hospital but it’s  inspired by one. The cases these doctors cross will leave you yelling, crying, and laughing at the television. Though there are a lot of happy endings… sometimes there are the opposite, making you sit on the edge of you seat waiting to see what could possibly happen next.

Um yes please. That’s all I could think of when I heard there was a new show out about firemen. Yes action packed and full of fire. This show makes you love and hate the characters. I don’t have too much to say about this one because I just recently started watching it. But I think it has already made my top 5 list. And yes that is a big deal!

The Vampire Diaries made its way into my life about a year and a half ago. I have since seen every episode, except the one that will be on this week. Entangled love affairs, vampires you both love and hate, characters that evolve over time, and mysteries everywhere. The stories are much more in depth than the twilight saga and the actors have more expression than twenty Bella’s combined. It’s a fun teen show with many twists and turns.

How only one season of Emily Owens, MD happened I don’t know. I’ll admit that when I saw the pilot episode I thought it was a goofy knock off of Grey’s Anatomy. However, over time the characters came to life and they became people anyone could relate to. The show has you laughing and screaming. This show is awesome and fun. If it were up to me I would make sure that there was another season or six.

Yet another show that was barely given a chance! Firefly was an amazing mix of everything. The sarcastic humor could make anyone laugh it up. The characters we so diverse and entertaining it was like a mix of a western/ scifi/ who knows what else. It was so good that they had to make a movie! And hey at least they sell the box set!

This show was my favorite for years. The psychology intertwined was exhilarating for me, as it would be for anyone who got a couple of degrees in psychology. What isn’t fun about following cool and handsome FBI agents around solving murders?! I’ve seen about a bazillion re-runs of the show and continue to love the show. The spin off was okay but the original is the bomb!

What a fun show about two very different individuals who were clearly switched at birth. The cast is a lot of fun and they seem to have good chemistry. The stories are very teen like but they’re a lot of fun. Family values and real life struggles are a plus and a rarity these days. It’s a show I would check out. Oooh and it makes you want to learn sign language!

This show is filmed in my hometown. I was able to pre-screen the first episode in theater and thought it was a lot of fun.  It’s creepy, a little cheesy, and a lot of fun. It’s loosely based upon the Grimm Fairy-tales. I love the character Manroe (I call him Wolfie). The actor must have a lot of fun because he is very entertaining. It’s a great depiction of the Grimm Collection!

Once Upon A Time is another fairy-tale show. It’s a lot different than Grimm but is very creative. It uses storybook characters and traps them in modern society. There are a lot of surprises, frustrations, and mixed feelings. It’s a good show but it’s not on my top 5. Love the character development though!

Falling last on my list is The Secret Life of The American Teenager. It’s such a lengthy title that people in our house just call it Secret Life. It’s made by the same people who made 7th heaven back in the day. Though it has a similar feel and features things that teens might experience I find that I don’t connect to the characters as much. It’s a fun show and I’ve watched it from the beginning but again it’s not on my top 5 list. It’s made for teens and pre-teens. But some of the topics are a little questionable. Still a fun show though.
