Well we did it. We’re married. What a rush. It’s kinda crazy if you ask me. The whole day was crazy. What’s happened since? Well we went on our honeymoon… which was AWESOME!!! Our first day we missed breakfast at the hotel so we had to find something on the way. We parked in Jurassic Parking and then headed to Universal City. We ended up having Starbucks for breakfast and then went to Universal Studios. We arrived at the gate around 10:30AM. I had no idea what to expect but it exceeded any expectations that I might have had. The first ride we went on was the Simpsons ride. It was pretty cool but I was bummed that I was not able to experience the Back to The Future ride. It was fun just to experience it. I had never been to any big theme parks like this before. I had just been to little theme parks and county fairs. The lines were longer than I anticipated but that didn’t hold us back. We made it to everything but the Water World show. My feet were a tiny bit sore but it wasn’t bad. At 10:30PM and a full 12 hours later we headed back to the hotel.
Day two we headed to Disneyland…AHHHH. My first trip to Disneyland ever!!! At about 10:30 we entered Disneyland! We headed to town hall and got our Just Married buttons and then wandered around. I was like a kid. I stared at everything. Until you have been to Disneyland you cannot fully comprehend it. I was most excited about going on the Dumbo ride, as I had seen it in commercials on tv since I was a toddler. But the first ride we went on was Star Tours which was pretty cool… even if you aren’t a huge fan of Star Wars. The ride lines weren’t as bad as those at Universal Studios, which was very surprising for me. It was a busy day for us. And much of it is a blur because we did so much and it sped by so quickly. At 12:10 AM we headed back to the hotel.
Day 3 was Disney California adventure day! At 10 AM we showed up at the park. It was jam packed. We wandered around aimlessly. Our first ride was some random silver thing. Nothing too special but it got the ball rolling. After this we just started getting in lines and going. By 1pm my feet hurt so badly that I was super whiny and in a bad mood. By 3 I didn’t want to stand anymore. I was taking off my shoes every chance I could get. Yep it happened. By 5’oclock or later Jay had to pull me… kicking and screaming out of the park to go to target for band-aids and insoles. I really didn’t want to leave. After target we headed back to the hotel for a quick shower and dinner. Dinner took a lot longer than we had anticipated so instead of going to the park we ended up going to bed early. It was probably best for our poor blistered feet anyway.
Day 4 came before we knew it. We woke up for magic morning. YAY! We got into Disneyland and hardly anyone was there. We were pretty surprised that it didn’t let you into California Adventure as well. So we headed into Disneyland again and we surprised that you could only go to sections of the park. It didn’t phase us… we just started going on every ride we could get on. We just started checking things off. We knew it was our last day at Disneyland so we wanted to do as much as possible. On our last day we saw the parade and the fantasmic show which were both AWESOME. We met characters went on rides multiple times. Took advantage of fast passes and savored every moment there. We didn’t leave until 12:40AM. It was sad to leave… but we had to. But hey! At least I got to go on Dumbo!
The next morning we slept in late. We headed back to Santa Clarita because I wasn’t feeling well. But soon enough we resumed our honeymoon in San Diego. Day 5 of our adventure was SeaWorld. We showed up just before 10 to learn that the hours had been cut. We were disappointed until we got into the park and realized that there wasn’t a whole lot to do. The most exciting thing was the Shamu show and all of the animals. There weren’t a lot of rides but it was nice and relaxing. We really enjoyed how laid back it was and how short the lines were. The day there ended by 4ish.
Our next day we relaxed and saw the beach. We didn’t do much. We ordered room service and just relaxed all day 🙂
Day 7 we headed back to Universal Studios. The first thing we hit up was Water World since it was the only thing we missed the previous time. We went on the studio tour a second time and then headed for the rides. We went on just about everything a second time. Except Transformers and Jurassic Park and we managed to go on both of them 3 times because they were the BEST. Yes the dinosaur at the end of the Jurassic Park ride is Scary but it is also AWESOME. If you are ever there… just do it. Go on it. You will enjoy it! 🙁 I want to go back.
Day 8 we headed to Six Flags Magic Mountain. I was very unsure that I liked roller coasters and I felt a bit like a chicken. The first ride that we went on was called X2. I didn’t like it. I thought it was kinda lame. We walked around the park. Got soaked on one ride… that was a blast. BUT the best ride ever was the Superman ride! Just do it!
