Lots of updates to write about. \u00a0I just haven’t gotten to a point of sitting down and writing the actual blog.<\/p>\n
First off, today Maryia is going to be graduating. \u00a0At about 2:00 it will start. \u00a0I surely hope that all, if not most of her family shows up. \u00a0We aren’t in a great financial position right now but she made a point of going back to Portland to graduate with the express concern of her family. \u00a0If only 3 or 4 members of her big family show up, I will be more than upset.<\/p>\n
What else… that interview that I had. \u00a0Oh yes. \u00a0It went as well as an interview could go. \u00a0The HR rep even went as far as saying “I hope you accept our job offer” and “I think you will be a great fit with our company” and after telling them that I was still seeking jobs elsewhere until an actual offer was fabricated they said “we are a better fit.. \u00a0and I hope you feel the same way” so you would think, walking away from that interview that I had landed the job. \u00a0All of these very obvious communications saying that the job offer was just a formality. \u00a0The real surprise was when this arrived in my inbox:<\/p>\n

Deborah Wahl, SPHR<\/strong><\/p>\n Vice President, Human Resources Direct: 480-424-0109 I attempted to reach out to them and find out what exactly took place in the time that I was to be offered a job. \u00a0I have not received any such comment or explanation from them. \u00a0Not like I could really do anything, but I wanted that job and they made me feel like I had it, only to give such a cold blow afterwards.<\/p>\n It is rather frustrating. \u00a0Technology has it’s setbacks. \u00a0Like with LifeLock, they told me that I can’t apply to any job at their company going forward. \u00a0So yes, this company to which I’ve worked my butt off for years has turned their back on me and said I am now “not hirable” and the reason they say is some rogue email that they got from me.<\/p>\n Back in February and March my emails had been phished and some emails were sent. \u00a0Some were just with links, and others sounded like somebody was talking to the recipient. \u00a0Most of the people who these were sent to (out of 10 or 15 people in my contacts) had emailed me back letting me know something wasn’t right. \u00a0I guess something was also sent to LifeLock. \u00a0Alas, any explanation to the company and asking for the situation to be rectified fell on deaf ears. \u00a0I had even asked Amanda to check into it and press the subject with management but since that time she hasn’t talked to me. \u00a0Not even once. \u00a0What have I done? \u00a0After I found out it happened I closed down all of the emails affected (2). \u00a0I was thinking of downsizing emails either way.. so it kind of worked out. \u00a0But really?<\/p>\n Fantastic. \u00a0I really feel betrayed by that whole thing. \u00a0And LifeLock, a company that I use to think of rather highly has fallen off their high saddle and now ranks to one of the worst post-employers I’ve ever had to deal with in my life. \u00a0Sometimes I hope they go out of business. \u00a0I admit this wouldn’t be ideal because I still have some friends working at the company. \u00a0It is just outrageous. \u00a0In the digital age, you can’t do much.<\/p>\n It is rather fantastic isn’t it?<\/p>\n Moving on…. so recently I interviewed with GE and that whole process has went fairly well. \u00a0I was able to go into their center and meet with management. \u00a0It seems like it is going in the right direction. \u00a0I have another interview with them in the coming week. \u00a0The only downfall to that, is the job wouldn’t start until July.<\/p>\n I will continue to keep my eyes open and apply to other places in the meantime. \u00a0I also have an interview (a phone interview) with Unique Home Designs. \u00a0I hate phone interviews. \u00a0Regardless, we will see how that goes.<\/p>\n This might be my last post ever if the world ends in a few hours. \u00a0There is some guy who hosts his own radio station with help of supporters and has predicted that the world will end at 6pm. \u00a0So… as nice as it would be to be hand in hand with God by the end of the day… I don’t really think it will take place.<\/p>\n I do find it entertaining that some of the workers of this guy’s prediction are planning on showing up to work on Monday. \u00a0In fact when interviewed they said that some 80% of the workforce doesn’t believe it will take place.<\/p>\n The weather lately has been very cool… I mean we are talking in the 70’s just in the past few days. \u00a0For that cool of temps in May.. in the Phoenix area is unheard of. \u00a0I’ll take it though.<\/p>\n Sports news: Mavs swept the Lakers and advanced. \u00a0The Grizzlies took the Thunder to a game 7 and failed to become the first number 8 seed to advance further than the 2nd round. \u00a0Mavs vs Thunder and Bulls vs Heat, both series are tied at 1-1.<\/p>\n I think tonight I’m going to head over to Central as Maryia is out of town until Tuesday. \u00a0Last week we went to a small church and it wasn’t so bad. \u00a0We are going to check it out again once she is back in town.<\/p>\n Last bit, is that recently with the finances being as tight as they are we were forced to drop texting from our cell phone plan. \u00a0This is huge, I hardly touch my phone now and when I do out of reflex I still check for text messages. \u00a0All will be fine, I am planning on getting an ipod and using google voice on it. \u00a0How will I afford an ipod? \u00a0Airline miles.. of course. \u00a0Therefore there is no out of pocket cost to me. \u00a0Then I can text, talk and surf for free as long as I have wifi. \u00a0Sounds like a more affordable option to me.<\/p>\n So it may take a while for me to get back in the flow with multiple posts in a single month. \u00a0Until that point I am going to try and gradually increase my posting. \u00a0So for the next few months my goal is 2 posts a month. \u00a0I barely made that goal for this month. \u00a0We’ll see how it goes.<\/p>\n That is all of the update I have in me for now.<\/p>\n Until next time<\/p>\n just Pray<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Hey Lots of updates to write about. \u00a0I just haven’t gotten to a point of sitting down and writing the actual blog.
