so first thing.. I did this video a few days ago..<\/p>\n
Follow up: The five days of rain turned to two and a half. The rain we got was more of a mist most of the time. Everywhere else got some weather. Portland got snow, Vegas.. snow. Malibu… snow. Phoenix… mist??? ugh<\/p>\n
Second thing is that this week my manager told our team about a QA<\/span><\/span> job that opened up within the company. She urged me to apply – so.. being bored with my current position, but not really caring if I end up with the job or not.. I applied.<\/p>\n Quality Analyst. I would go over incidences and calls.. ensuring top quality. That’s the basic idea.<\/p>\n Not my ideal job if I could pick any job – but it would be a change – and good to have on my resume. Expanding my options and talents a little more.<\/p>\n I sent in my resume on Thursday<\/span> (the deadline) and my appointment was quickly scheduled for Friday (today). I had the interview during my normal shift – but I’m not really sure how it went. I didn’t have any nerves until 12:59 (interview at 1) – it was weird. Then during the interview I didn’t feel like I normally would. I kinda just went with it. I didn’t prepare for the interview – but any interview practice is also good to have. I’m not sure if I’ll get it – and it doesn’t really hurt my feelings either way.<\/p>\n I would have liked to try something new, but if it comes – it comes. If not.. I move on.<\/p>\n Last night the Blazers played the Suns – the Blazers won \ud83d\ude42 We snapped an 11 game losing streak to them. It felt so good to win against them.<\/p>\n and Brandon Roy had 52 points.<\/p>\n All of these Suns fans at work gave me a hard time until today. Those same Suns fans asked me what Rip City meant – I wasn’t totally sure. They asked if it meant we rip other teams. I knew that wasn’t what it meant. I looked it up and gave them an answer. Today, after the game last night .. they all disappeared.<\/p>\n Rip City baby.<\/p>\n That’s<\/span> the last thing I’ll touch on… Rip city. <\/p>\n The term was coined by the team’s legendary play-by-play announcer Bill Schonely<\/span><\/span> during a game against the Los Angeles Lakers<\/span><\/span> in the Blazers’ first season. Schonely<\/span><\/span> explained that a three-point play by Blazers’ player Jim Barnett caused the net on the basket to rip.
