COVID is continuing to rise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first part of September, we decided to travel a bit more. Went down to Blockbuster in Bend and this time Luca was able to visit. Even got him his own Blockbuster shirt too. Along the way down we also visited Newberry National Volcanic Monument (outside of the Bend area too). They have something they call the “Lava Ness Monster” and since we have visited Loch Ness, I figured it was worth mentioning and showing (see below)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We took a quick trip to the Petersen Rock Museum and made our way south. Since we were SO far south we figured we would let Luca visit California for the first time (even if we only momentarily crossed the line, only to turn around at the next exit).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next day was packed with things to do. Our intent for driving so far south was to go to some waterfalls in the surrounding area of Crater Lake – one, in particular, was National Creek Falls (pictured below). It was a gorgeous fall and I LOVE sitting beside these falls and taking a minute to enjoy the beauty that abounds. After this, we took a short trip over to Crater Lake (since we have the national park pass until it expires later this month) so we could check off visiting another volcano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What else? How about taking a dip in the Umpqua Hot Springs? Check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following day on the way back to Portland we stopped at this pretty fall that you see next to the covered bridge. Oh- yeah, we stopped at the Office Covered Bridge too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gas prices keep going up and we are currently sitting at 3.69\/gallon. September 11th came and passed as well but this year we stopped at the school in Canby to see the piece of twin tower steel they had on display. We also got an estimate for the accident that Dutch Bros. caused: a little over $1,000 to fix. I leave you with an image that drives me nuts. “PRO GOD. PRO-GUN. PRO-LIFE. ANTI BIDEN. USMC VET. along with the American flag with colored stripes for Fire, Police, and the Army. ‘Merica, am I right? Serious question though, why doesn’t this stand out as an odd mix? Oh, that’s right- it pretty much sums up the republican party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
