Hey,<\/p>\n

I had been thinking about some stuff and just wanted to share it.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

How does a worm get inside an apple? Perhaps you think the worm burrows in from the outside. No, scientists have discovered that the worm comes from inside. But how does he get in there? Simple! An insect lays an egg in the apple blossom. Sometime later, the worm hatches in the heart of the apple, then eats his way out. Sin, like the worn, begins in the heart and works out through a person\u2019s thoughts, words, and actions.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The concept is pretty simple.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Can our thoughts and every action that we have.. can it be above board (above board = the idea of ‘unholy’ in a sense…)?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The answer I came to is a resounding no.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

But what do we mean when we say no? Is it just not possible? Is it like most people, that we as christians.. or .. not even christians… maybe just people who ‘try’ to be good… that we fail and think ‘well i wont be able to do it anyway so, it wont hurt.. ‘ is it that kind of attitude that gets us into saying things the way we say them?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I mean.. I know it is pretty much very hard (I wont say impossible–because all things are possible through Him) but I would say it is very hard and would take a lot of work (considering influnces as simple as the American media etc) to have your thoughts, jokes, and actions be above bar.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Most of us– yes we can easily say that our ‘actions’ or ‘jokes’ or ____ fill in the blank — is above bar, (isnt in the guttar, is clean…)<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Who are we really fooling?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Is that good enough?  What exactly is good enough?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We should strive to be like Christ in every way, in every thought – in everything we say. Last year the theme was from Corinthians, “… and take every thought captive to obey Christ.”  I want to obey Christ. 5<\/span>We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ<\/font> <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

Let everything we do be a blessing, if not to God than to others.  Why should we settle for any less?
We shouldnt!<\/div>\n

It really just kinda bothers me, that when we hear things sometimes it goes in one ear and out the other.
this isnt about anyone in particular, it is in general….  Maybe more for me than for anyone else, and thats fine, but I still thought it would be good to share.<\/div>\n

Last thing is can we be above bar and just.. not say anything bad about anyone…?  We are about as perfect as they are.  Keeping that in mind I want to leave you with one last bible verse that I used a few days ago…<\/div>\n
