How is everyone doing? I haven’t updated in almost a full week.<\/p>\n
Haven’t had a chance to comment on anyone’s site. Might get to that this weekend…<\/p>\n
I either haven’t had internet or just didn’t have the time to update. So when my buddy Jay left me a message to update I knew it was bad. haha..<\/p>\n
Random thoughts I had a few days ago:<\/p>\n
Why don’t we share our faith with as many people as we can?<\/p>\n
What is stopping us from having conversations with someone on the MAX (Mass transit system in Portland) or even in a supermarket?<\/p>\n
150,000 people die each 24 hour time period.<\/p>\n
Just think, that’s all I’m saying.<\/p>\n
The first week of training at Verizon has been very dry. Meaning… boring. The last day or so we were able to do some web based training – and that is much better than listening to people come and talk to you. I am still overall impressed with the company and would probably recommend to work at this company after all is said and done.<\/p>\n
I’ve been rather busy with working at the church and Verizon. I have been trying to cut back as many hours as I can at the church so that I can catch more hours of sleep each night. It seems to help a little bit – but I still get this feeling sometimes that almost my whole day is going through the motions. That I am just doing the same thing.<\/p>\n
I very well may be, but– it is like I am doing it for the money. That is the reason up front, but not the underlying reason.<\/p>\n
I just need to keep focused, not get distracted by annoyances or boring lectures.<\/p>\n
Wednesday was the bad day of my week and I typically shrug it off. I woke up normal time and left early for work, but arrived 5 minutes late due to traffic. Yes, five minutes late- after the traffic cleared up I did 80 in a 65 and 70 in a 45. Verizon is semi strict about missing days or times or even being late. I think they give you 7 minutes after the start time.. then if you miss 8 minutes it is like you didn’t call and didn’t show up for the job. I figured the risk of getting a speeding ticket was worth getting to work a few minutes sooner.<\/p>\n
Work that day went fine, took an alt. route to go home (that should have been quicker) but really took me 55 minutes to get back to the place I am staying. Grabbed my frozen dinner and went into Central.<\/p>\n
At Verizon they had this bag of caramel popcorn that was shaped in a ball that they handed out to people. I didn’t get around to picking it up before they were closing shop so they gave me two (they had extras). I took it, I wasn’t about to pass up free food. I figured I would either eat it as a snack or dessert (yes I know not great).<\/p>\n
Got to Central and ate both of them. I chewed on what felt like a popcorn seed, and so I just swallowed it. I run my tongue over my teeth and … well… part of my tooth is now missing. Fan-tastic way to end my day.<\/p>\n
It broke off the front portion of my front tooth…. you know.. the one most people would notice. So I had my family check around to see what was best (most dentists work 8 to 5 M – F), but we found one that was open on Saturday.<\/p>\n
So tomorrow.. or better yet today… at 7am-ish I will be in the dentists office. Great way to kick off a weekend. Then I have to go to a Nepal training at Neil’s later on and do the recording.<\/p>\n
I got my application turned in for the Scholarship from Central.. now it is only a matter of time to know if I am going or not. I have faith that if it is God’s will it will get done.<\/p>\n
Tonight I went to the VBS thing because Brandy wanted me to go. It was good… I enjoyed it. It was good to see so many kids involved and energetic for God. Afterwards (she won free movie tickets for good attendance) so we saw Click. I thought it was good. Moral of the movie: Enjoy the time you have in life. Don’t spend your life chasing after the American dream– because it might turn into a nightmare.<\/p>\n
I just checked, its 1:23 and its still 99 degrees out. I think that is crazy.<\/p>\n
Okay so this isn’t the most entertaining post – but it keeps you updated.<\/p>\n
