COVID is starting to make people act a little bit crazy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In southern California, they had big protests about reopening the city. All of the people appeared to be Trump supporters… there could have been others… sure. I just didn’t see it. Also, Trump is taken and perverted the flag. He takes pictures draping himself in the flag, holding a bible, and talking about how he doesn’t have a favorite verse. The protests (like the one seen below) are happening all over the country. Generally in areas where Republicans are a majority. It is a complete mess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is a sign that we saw driving over to the west side. It says “Staying Home Saves Lives Keep it Up” and it is really true, we are all in this together. Also if you haven’t yet, you should see the impact that the LACK of humans being out and about is having on the earth. Waters are starting to become clean again, and air toxins – it’s amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To keep my sanity, I’ve been playing with Ara – it won’t be much longer and she will only want to play with friends, or really anyone else. I’ll take it while I can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pink sticks!? Yeah, we thought that we may be pregnant. The odd part is on the VERY last one we took, it seems like a line WANTS to appear. Time to schedule a doctor’s visit to confirm. We also took a photo with our new Kobe shirts that my parents got us at his memorial in LA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it is May that also means that it is ELIJAH SKIES BIRTHDAY!! He wanted a birthday with Dinosaurs. Who can blame him? We have already watched a little bit of Jurassic park and he loves the T-Rex and the Raptors. He also has a show Dinotrux which is one of his favorites too. I LOVE the rain. So remember when we took down that part of the fence?! Look at how nice the backyard looks now! It looks amazing, it’s a different world in our backyard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Took another pregnancy test, and this one came up POSITIVE (meaning that we are pregnant). A doctor’s appointment was scheduled. We went to see the doctor and they told us that it was a false positive. They said we were not pregnant. They checked the ultrasound and other was nothing inside the belly. We scheduled another appointment again with the lead, to be sure. Same answer. They explained that it was likely a birth that didn’t make it, that is why they can’t see anything, and is also why it shows as pregnant still. They gave us a pill to take to make the process go quicker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We got home and processed the fact that we were not pregnant. The fact that we apparently were but had lost the child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After talking, we said that something didn’t feel right. We scheduled ANOTHER visit to the doctor. This time they confirmed that we were in fact pregnant. What a mess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We got new sink faucets for our bathroom (see image below). May is nice because everything is so fresh and clean. So fresh and so clean clean…..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kids are excitable.. and love spending time with Grammy and Grampy. See the little animated image above for proof (as if you needed any).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have purchased new LED lights to install throughout the house and have been getting those set up as of late.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But don’t forget PIES! My mama’s homemade pies are the best. Bar none<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally some closing thoughts: In March month Breonna Taylor was shot and killed while in her own house, in her own bed, and did not commit a crime. Police broke into the wrong house. Her boyfriend had a firearm and went to protect themselves as they were in a deep sleep… police broke in screaming yelling and with guns drawn. Yeah, mistakes can happen– but wouldn’t you believe that we have a larger problem? Why are so many black people being shot? Why is it that as a white person these things don’t happen nearly as often? We also have been looking into our own moral compass. What do I mean? How we may actually have some embedded racism in our society. Take it a step further – how we have been groomed with an unconscious bias. So how do we acknowledge that and how to really move forward with change? One book we found that is worth checking out is “White Fragility”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then this month, on May 25th George Floyd was murdered by Police in Minnesota. His last words were “I can’t breathe” and he said this as police knelt on his neck, cutting off all circulation and killing him. What was the cause? Armed robbery? Did he take someone prisoner or something? No, he used a counterfeit $20 bill which cost him his life. Would that have happened if he were white?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
