So I have been doing some major thinking. Praying and meditating.<\/p>\n
I’m not sure about it anymore.<\/p>\n
About what you ask? About Cascade. About my purpose here at this school.<\/p>\n
This has nothing to do with any person on campus. It has to do with discussions that I have had with outside people and the direction of my life.<\/p>\n
Tonight in my Intro to Ministry class I talked to the teacher (who is a local pastor) and I asked him what would be a good school to attend if all I really wanted to focus on was missions, and he didn’t say Cascade, but he named Multnomah Bible College, and when I asked him for one of the better ‘mission’ type schools he didn’t name a place because he simply didnt know. When I wanted to come here, … well…. Cascade wasn’t .. presented correctly to me. So I am finding out a lot about things now that I didn’t previously know.<\/p>\n
He gave me a phone number to a missionary who has his masters or something in whatever you need it in. He did missions work for 10 years in Africa. I guess he knows and would know more about schools that would be best. Tomorrow I shall contact him and see what he has to say. I may end up staying at Cascade for a while, or I may find out that my stop here was only supposed to be for a brief moment in time, heck I may not even get a hold of the guy tomorrow.<\/p>\n
What I do know at this point is that school is a huge investment, and I am paying for it out of pocket (the tuition) so that forces me to think of where I am at, and I am going to be wise with the money and with what I do. Cascade doesn’t have what I want to go into (for teaching they only offer up to like 3rd grade, or on some levels 8th) and if I go into teaching I want 9th grade on up…. but don’t get me wrong. Cascade does have some really good classes and good things going for it. Everything has its positives and negatives, its just weighing the two and seeing if here is where I need to be. I need to talk to the guy whom I was referred to, to get all the information I can.<\/p>\n
Whatever I do, I shall do after seeking council, and I have already started that process. This weekend I hope to just spend some time with God, and not have to worry about homework or the clutter of life. I want to maybe … go to the coast, and just bask in his mercy and grace. Enjoy the sound of the ocean praising him.<\/p>\n
This has been a interesting week so far.<\/p>\n
My friend Leah left for England today, thankfully she made it safely, I talked to her last night until about 4am. Via phone I got to talk to Tara, Kat, Laurie and Tina, today a little bit too. Called Orien back and am still waiting to hear from him. Tonight I came up to the dorm and was going to post on xanga what you just read, but it was blocked from the server (at the school). So I emailed them, and look.. I have it back. I don’t know why they would have blocked it. It made me rather upset. Speaking of being upset, the block is back and it isn’t letting me post this. So it will have to wait until later. *copies onto notepad*
Oh well. I thought it was going to work for me, but it proved me wrong.<\/p>\n

So here I am a day later, I am going to call him in a little bit. Right now xanga is unblocked. I emailed them. Here is how it went. It gives you a link to email and tell whoever about what site needs to be unblocked.<\/p>\n

The Reply : I can try. The problem is that we subscribe to a web filtering service and they make decisions on what gets blocked. I can overide individual sites, but sites like xanga and myspace link to many other URL’s, i.e. mail.myspace.com, home.myspace.com. I can’t spend all my time searching for all the links that don’t work. If it works now we are fine. If not, you will have to access Xanga elsewhere. <\/p>\n
