We went to use the bathroom downstairs, and found out that it wouldn’t flush. I had to go to Home Depot and buy some tools and parts to replace the entire tank trim.

Not so bad, but enough to keep us feeling like nothing is working.

Went to do a load of laundry, and it smelled like burning. Did as much as we could, but ultimately had to contact our home warranty to find out what the issue was. Had to wait a few days for the tech to come out (Fun fact: Sears Home Service performed the service for us), and now it’s working.

See the photo above with Ezra? This is kinda how I’ve been feeling lately. He didn’t want to go inside. We ended up not going here after all.

We had an estimate come for the basement waterproofing. This is where it gets fun!

They informed us that we will need close to 40k worth of work done.

Hmm – they also mentioned that we have some required work on our foundation. Foundation? Yeah.

Got a couple of quotes for the roof, and they came in north of 30k. Just for the roof! Apparently, because our garage has a flat roof, and the main house is pitched, they treat it as two separate roof replacements. Oh, the joy.

We finally got our internet modem from Xfinity, but it won’t work (go figure). They have to send a person out to troubleshoot.

ugh.

Pray.

To try and make things better, we took the kids to a dine-in Pizza Hut (they don’t have any on the West Coast anymore).
