Back in the groove of things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have spent the last couple of weeks attending community events (see below: the Wood Village event we’ve been going to for the last few years). The kids like getting in the heavy machinery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arabella went as well, but was a bit intimidated by everyone else who had been going to professional basketball camps and whatnot. Still a good experience to get more time playing (plus, the Blazers host it, so what’s not to love?!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has been warmer and more humid out lately, which spurred a rare PNW thunderstorm. We did a little mini chase after dropping Arabella off at a VBS training. The boys got out and danced with me in the rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What else? Hmm… we have been cleaning, cleaning, and packing. Part of that process has been getting rid of things that we won’t take with us, such as the kids’ mattresses. Unfortunately, they cut holes in the back of them and have started pulling the insides out. Oregon has a location where you can drop off unwanted mattresses, and they recycle as much of it as possible. So we made a few trips to drop off some beds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then? Photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had pushed back taking the photos 2 or 3 times already, as it’s been a big hassle getting things fixed up (more than you would ever imagine). The day before, we were up til maybe 2 in the morning finishing cleaning or at least making it look good. The kids’ stuff still isn’t packed how it should be, so we had them put it into a box and make it look ‘neat’ – but it isn’t done yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, while we were picking up around the house, the kids had other plans and decided to use black nail polish to paint our couches. Ara said it wasn’t her responsibility to watch anyone, and Elijah said it wasn’t his mess. Luca said it wasn’t him, and Ezra had nail polish on his back as well (so that rules him out). So who did it? IDK. That is now one less thing we will be taking with us, and unfortunately, we won’t be able to sell it for much after this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This final week of July, we have been going to VBS at Wood Village Baptist Church. Ara is volunteering to help them out, and the two older boys have been going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you believe that August is here?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I cannot fathom it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
